Christmas Continues

Almighty God,

Christmas Day is over. The parties have stopped. The Christmas decorations are going back into storage for next year. The special music is gone, and we have gone back to our daily lives.

Yet Christmas is far from over. The day You sent Jesus into the world as a tiny baby who lived among us for 33 years and then died on the cross - that day changed everything! So even though our flimsy attempts to celebrate this amazing event are over for the year, we continue to celebrate it.

All year long, we celebrate this amazing news. We will carry the good news of Your salvation wherever we go - into our homes, our places of work, our shopping, and our vacations. We will keep rejoicing over the privilege of knowing You. We will let this news shape our lives so that we have reason to rejoice every day.

Lord God, keep us celebrating Your good news of salvation every day. Help us to never grow tired of sharing with others the amazing work You did in coming. Don't let us lose the joy of our salvation.
