I wrote this with a friend in mind. You may want to substitute your friend's name for the pronouns in here.
Our bodies are temporary, but our souls are not. The battle going on inside of her is even greater than her physical suffering. Please give her hope in You that transcends her pain. Let her catch glimpses of the glory that will be revealed in her when she sees You face to face. Let her know that her suffering has a purpose, even if she cannot see it.
Lord God,
She is so sick. It’s hard for her to believe that she will ever feel better since this has been going on for so long. There are days when she just longs for heaven because she has suffered so much.
You are the Great Physician. You are the One who knit her together in her mother’s womb. (Psalms 139:13-15) You are the One who knows exactly what is wrong now. You are the only one with the power to heal her in an instant like Jesus did when He walked this earth. So we ask that You would reach down and touch her body.
There is more going on here than her physical healing. Along with suffering comes the temptation to doubt You and Your goodness. Give her faith, Lord, to see You in all Your tender love toward her. Help her to remember that if You would not withhold Your Son from dying on the cross to save her from her sins, You will not withhold any of Your best things for her life. (Rom. 8:32)

I also ask for peace for her. Peace in the midst of her pain. Peace in the midst of the loss of health and the connections that her good health brought. Peace that passes human understanding. Peace that only You can give. Peace that comforts her heart on her worst days as she waits for Your healing.
You have numbered all our days. You know how many days each of us has. We don't know that number. We want to see her live a full life with many days. We don’t want her life to be shorter than ours. Yet we trust You that if that is Your will, You will use all of the days she has already lived and the ones still to come. Eventually, if You do not heal her here, You will completely heal her in heaven.
Thank You that You are able to take our prayers and do far more with them than we can think or imagine. (Ephesians 3:20) So we ask You to do that.
In Jesus' name,
Amen
