Lord,
Forgive me for being such a slow learner, for not stopping often to listen to You, and for letting fear take over when it's risky or painful to step out in faith.
Help me to really learn to listen to You. Let me be like Samuel who simply said, "Speak, Lord. Your servant is listening." Let me discern Your voice from the many conflicting and louder voices that seek to control my attention.
I don't want to miss hearing You speak to me. As I read Your Word this morning, let me hear You speak clearly to my soul.
